SKYCTC hosts ‘Going Pro’ signing day
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -A special honor normally reserved for athletes was extended to some healthcare students attending the South Central Kentucky Community and Technical College.
Administrators surprised students with a signing and award day to highlight their students and the strides they are making in their education and new careers.
Students signed to Med Center Health, T.J. Samson Community Hospital, Graves Gilbert Clinic and Norton Healthcare.
Graves Gilbert Clinic followed Med Center Health for the most student signings.
The students were all appreciative and caught off guard when they announced the big surprise Friday afternoon.
Hannah Brown, a respiratory therapist, signed to Med Center Health.
She said, “I think it’s really great. It’s very thoughtful of them. They really didn’t have to go all out like this, but we’re really thankful for it.”
Students and hospital staff took pictures to commemorate the day that will certainly be one for them to remember.
