SoKY Ice Rink wrapping up 6th Year

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Hard to believe we’re already a week into 2023! And with kids back in school, that means some of our winter activities are wrapping up.

News 40 reporter Meghann Stamps was live earlier in our 6:00 p.m. show at the ice rink. Looks like a lot of people came out to enjoy the night, and if you want to be a part of the fun, you better come quickly. 

The SoKY Ice Rink will close up shop after this Sunday, January 8th. 

You can come out to the SoKY Marketplace Pavilion and grab a pair of skates for the last few times this weekend.

Now the rink is celebrating its sixth season of frozen fun. To no one’s surprise, The 6,000-square-foot ice rink has been a hit this year – especially for the kids!

SoKY Ice Rink board member Leah Spurlin said, “[The kids have] been ecstatic. They’ve loved it! It’s nice to come out here and be reminded of how fun this is, and that’s why we do it every year.”

Come on out and ice skate before the fun is over tomorrow and Sunday from 1 p.m. through 8 p.m.
