Six high school basketball players sign letters of intent
BOWLING GREEN Ky. – Six high school basketball players signed letters of intent on Thursday.
The Greenwood Gators had five of their eight seniors sign their letters of intent with their respective schools.
Hunter Raymer and Brakton Stinnett will stay teammates and head to Spalding University, Mason Thornhill is Campbellsville University bound, Aaron Brown will take his talents to Transylvania University and the next chapter for cade Stinnett is Centre College.
Having five players headed for college basketball careers is very impressive and Head Coach Will McCoy recognizes the special senior group he had this past season.
“I am a very proud coach today,” McCoy said. “They put in the work in the class on the floor. I also put in a lot of time as well, making calls and film recruitment surveys and it paid off. Ultimately, when you look back and you achieve a goal and your part of a journey of those guys, and you see the smiles on their faces and the good situations in their heads to make all the work well worth it.:
Meanwhile, Jaiden Lawrence of the 4th Region-winning Warren Central Dragons signed with Southwestern Illinois.
The future Blue Storm member was a key piece of Central’s state title run before losing in the championship of the Sweet Sixteen tournament.
Lawrence is very excited for his new journey up North.
“Ever since I got off the phone, they just always treated me like family and just act like they really wanted me to be there and be a part of their team,” Lawrence said. “At the end of the day, I just think it comes down to the little stuff.”
Congratulations to everyone!
