Simpson County Sheriff’s Office mourns loss of retired court security officer

FRANKLIN, Ky. – The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of retired court security officer Eddie Mann.

The agency stated Wednesday that Mann served the Simpson County Justice Center from 2011 to 2025.

According to the sheriff’s office, Mann “dedicated himself to ensuring the safety of the justice center and our community with professionalism, integrity and quiet strength. He was a valued member of our team, and his service and commitment will not be forgotten.”

The sheriff’s office says it extends its condolences to Mann’s family, friends and those who worked alongside him.

According to an obituary by Crafton Funeral Home, a celebration of life will be held at noon on Saturday, March 7, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 6 at Franklin Church of Christ from 3 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday, March 7 until funeral service time at noon at Franklin Church of Christ.
