Simpson County Sheriff’s Office hosting fundraiser for chief deputy Brad Harper
FRANKLIN, Ky. – The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office is gathering support for chief deputy Brad Harper, who was shot in the line of duty.
Sunday from noon to three, Cotton BBQ will be at the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, offering lunch to the community.
The proceeds from sales will go directly to Deputy Harper’s family to help pay medical bills and any other necessities he may have.
Hopson explains just how important this is for chief deputy Harper’s family.
“It means a lot to Brad and his family. He’s going to have a lengthy recovery and any time you have a lengthy recovery, you have unknown expenses that are going to occur, whether it be watching kids… trying to take care of your house or things that you can’t physically do anymore and you’re having to get help that way… doctor’s visits, just a ton of stuff comes up when you’re out for a while,” he says.
The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office is on East Kentucky Street in Franklin. Cotton BBQ will be set up from noon to three Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.
