Sidewalk improvements coming to parts of Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Walking around Bowling Green may get a little easier in the coming months. City commissioners meet Tuesday night to vote on whether to accept just over $846,000 worth of grant money from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

The grant comes from the Transportation Alternatives Program and will be used to repair sidewalks around the city. Bowling Green Mayor Bruce Wilkerson said the money will be used to repair existing sidewalks along Campbell Lane, Cemetery Road, River Road and the U.S. 31-w Bypass. He also said he was happy about the upcoming improvements to the sidewalks.
