Man wanted in connection to Hart County shooting

Kentucky State Police are searching for a man who they said is connected to a shooting in Hart County Monday.

Police were called at 3:40 p.m. to 880 Charlie Mansfield Road where they found a man, identified as Steven Mansfield, who had been shot multiple times.

Mansfield had returned to his home and was confronted by a man who police said is Jeremy Wheeler, 32, of Glasgow, who was armed with a firearm, according to a release from state police.  Mansfield was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he is currently listed in serious condition.

Wheeler is wanted by state police.  Anyone with any information on Wheeler’s whereabouts is asked to call state police at (270) 782-2010.
