Sheriff’s office says man stole a truck, one suspect still at large
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is accused of stealing a vehicle and fleeing police.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says they received a call to Rockfield Browning Road on Wednesday to investigate a theft of a GMC Dually.
The office says deputies searched the area and located the stolen vehicle unoccupied in a trailer park located at 9279 Russellville Road.
At the scene, a Jeep Grand Cherokee pulled up and fled when seeing deputies.
Deputies pursued the vehicle and two suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
Deputies say one of the suspects, David Cherry, 44 of Bowling Green, was apprehended during the foot pursuit.
The second suspect evaded police has not been identified.
The office says items from the stolen Dually were located in the Jeep. A shotgun is missing.
Cherry is charged with receiving stolen property $10,000 or More, fleeing or evading police – 2nd degree, and resisting arrest.
Cherry is lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
