Sheriff’s office opens death investigation into Russellville man

UPDATE: Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower said Tuesday there are no obvious signs of trauma to Peck’s body, and investigators are waiting on toxicology tests to learn his official cause of death.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the death of Austin Peck, 23, of Russellville.

At 12:51 a.m. Monday deputies were called to a home on Sylvia Way. Two men in the residence directed deputies to Peck, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Deputy Coroner Phillip Wheeler said Peck had been dead since 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
