Sheriff’s office investigates home invasion robbery

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating an early Thursday morning home invasion robbery at Stillwater Apartments on Old Nashville Road.

Deputies responded 12:10 a.m. to Stillwater Apartments, Loop 2, Apt. 10-D, on a suspicious persons complaint, according to a release from the Warren county Sheriff’s Office.

When they arrived, they learned that an armed man wearing all black knocked down the apartment’s patio fence before kicking in the rear door to make entry into the home. One inside the home, the armed man held the resident at gunpoint and took his cell phone.

Another robber, rifled through the remainder of the apartment before leaving, according to the release. The robbers left with only the cell phone which deputies later found along Nashville Road next to Green River Rentals.

The suspects were described as men, wearing all black and wearing ski masks with one of the men armed with a black pistol. Witnesses also reported seeing two men wearing all black running from this building.

The witnesses told deputies the men got into a white Escalade, with a rear passenger side window taped up, that was parked near the apartments’ mailboxes. The vehicle was also observed quickly leaving the scene.
