Sheriff’s office finds drugs, firearms after traffic stop in Trigg County

TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. – One man has been charged with multiple drug offenses following a traffic stop in Trigg County.
The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office says it conducted a traffic stop during patrol and recognized the driver was not wearing a seatbealt.
Police say during the stop, the driver did not have a driver’s license available or proof of insurance and stated his license was DUI-suspended in 2012.
Authorities say during a vehicle search, they found a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine inside and several guns, along with other methamphetamine.
Deputies say they after they went to the subject’s home, they spoke to a female subject, who gave consent to search the home.
Authorities say they located suspected crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The male subject, whose full name was not released, was found to have active warrants out of Florida and was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, driving on a DUI-suspended license, failure to wear seat belts and two counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
