Share Sheds now available in the Russellville community
RUSSELLVILLE Ky.-For those living in the Russellville community, you now have a chance to help those in need with new resources in the area.
The Russellville Independent Schools Family Resource Youth Service Centers have unveiled these. They’re called share sheds. They’re now open and available for use. This comes as district board chair James Milam presented the district’s family resource youth service centers with a donation to fund the sheds.
There’s a share shed outside of Russellville High School and Stevenson Elementary. Signs are posted for each. The purpose of the sheds to provide free items that families in the area may need, ranging from food to hygiene items. People are also encouraged to donate.
Family resource youth service center coordinator Debbie Browder says donations are coming in fast, and it represents the giving nature of the town.
“We’ve already had some since the shed as opened bring donations. We have a very giving community. They’re always supporting the kids in whatever endeavors they do. We have a very giving community. We want them to come and get what they need, but also if they have something to donate, donate it. Bless another family,” Browder said.
The share sheds are open 24 hours. Anyone can stop by anytime without calling ahead.
