Shanti Niketan Hospice Home nearing completion in Glasgow

GLASGOW Ky.- The city of Glasgow will soon have a new resource for people who need end-of-life care.

That resource will be a brand-new hospice care facility, called the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home. The expected completion date is Dec. 18. It will be located on Glenview drive.

As of now, progress has been made on construction. The interior is being painted, and work is being done on the HVAC system. This is a multi-million-dollar project, and funding needed will be ongoing.

Those who played a role in this project say they’re looking forward to offering the city and surrounding community a much-needed resource.

A virtual event called Streamathon will be held Nov. 13, benefiting the new hospice home.
