Shadowen’s condition improves to stable
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Med Center Health infectious disease specialist who was diagnosed with COVID-19 is now in stable condition.
Dr. Rebecca Shadowen was recently listed in critical condition, but her condition has improved, according to a news release from Med Center Health.
Shadowen has also been transferred from the COVID-19 unit at UK HealthCare in Lexington back to the Medical Center at Bowling Green.
“It’s a great day to be alive,” Shadowen said. “I’m happy to be back in Bowling Green continuing my recovery.”
Shadowen first announced she had tested positive for COVID-19 on May 13 after contracting the virus through community-acquired exposure when an elderly family member received care at home from an infected caregiver
