Sen. Rand Paul visits Hope Center for Pregnancy Care

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Senator Rand Paul stopped in Bowling Green Tuesday to take a tour of the Hope Center for Pregnancy Care.

The center offers pregnancy services, individual, marital and group counseling for a variety of life’s circumstances and seasons. Paul met with staff to discuss the goals for their future.

Paul also answered questions about Covid-19, discussing the variant and the use of Ivermectin, not saying he advocates for the drug but that it ought to be studied.

He also addressed the situation in Afghanistan, saying, ‘by leaving completely, people were giving up on the country’. He also said they’re sympathetic towards individual people and are trying to help people who have requested their help to get to Bowling Green.

But he said the main reason for their visit to the area today was for the center.

“We’re here at the Hope Center and we’re proud of the charitable work that they do in our community for young pregnant moms or any kind of pregnant moms who are needing help or wanting counseling for their children. We’ve also been to our charities in our community. I’m reminded of Hope House also and I think we need more good news stories in the media about people trying to help people and to make people’s lives a better place,” said Paul.

The Senator visited and met with community members in Hopkinsville and Eddyville Tuesday as well.
