Second man sentenced in two-man fentanyl distribution case
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Warren County man has been sentenced to federal prison for fentanyl distribution.
The United States Attorney’s Office of Western District of Kentucky says Faisl Alzharani, 27 of Bowling Green, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison followed by 5 years of supervised release for his involvement in a two-man fentanyl distribution operation. The sentencing happened on December 2, 2024.
The office says Alzharani and Ahmed Al-Duliami, 25 of Bowling Green, picked up a package believed to contain fentanyl on August 11, 2022. Law enforcement seized the package and removed the fentanyl before this date.
Al-Duliami was sentenced to 7 years in prison followed by four years of supervised release on April 23, 2024.
Al-Duliami and Alzharani will not be eligible for parole in the federal system.
The USPIS Louisville Domicile, Bowling Green Office, HSI Bowling Green, and the Bowling Green/Warren County Appalachia High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (AHIDTA) Drug Task Force investigated the case.
