Second annual Duffing for Down Syndrome benefits The Buddy House

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Earlier Friday, people came to Crosswinds Golf Course to drive, chip and putt for a good cause.

Down Syndrome Of South Central Kentucky hosted their second annual golf scramble. All the funding is heading straight towards The Buddy House – helping out our friends in the community with Down syndrome.

The funding is especially needed where DSSKY saw many more special friends join, totaling 155 families here in South Central Kentucky.

Executive Director of DSSKY Stephanie Morton said, “It’s a really fun event. It’s a good way to get out and enjoy the weather and have fun with friends but also just know you are making a difference in the community.”

If you missed out on today’s event, you can always sign up for their next event, Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk. The walk will take place September 17 at the Bowling Green Ballpark.
