Search leads to arrest in Edmonson County

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – During an investigation Monday into the location of Eric Green, who Edmonson County sheriff’s said ran from them earlier in the day, deputies received information that led them to the 100 block of Eagle Way.

Green, who is wanted on two active warrants from Warren County, was suspected to be on the property. The homeowner, Darrell Smith, gave consent to search the property for Green. During that search deputies found Jagger K. Filback, 19, and a juvenile in a room. In the same room, deputies also reported seeing drugs and drug paraphernalia lying in plain view.

Upon obtaining permission from the homeowner to search the residence for drugs and/or paraphernalia, deputies found what they suspected to be methamphetamine, marijuana, an open alcoholic beverage, various forms of drug paraphernalia and a loaded pistol.

Jagger K. Filback was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance – first offense (methamphetamine, firearm enhanced), trafficking in a controlled substance – first offense (less than 2 grams methamphetamine, firearm enhanced), possession of marijuana (firearm enhanced) trafficking in marijuana – first offense (less than 8 ounces, firearm enhanced), second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal controlled substance, under 18 years of age), third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia (firearm enhanced).

Filback was lodged in the Hart County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
