Search at Bowling Green home results in arrest on marijuana trafficking charges
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation.
According to the Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force, detectives learned Devonte T. Barber, 26, of Bowling Green was receiving a package from California weighing 32 pounds that contained multiple bundles of high-grade marijuana.
Authorities say following an investigation and surveillance, detectives and the Kentucky State Police Interdiction Team executed a search warrant on Lynhurst Drive in Bowling Green on Wednesday.
During the search, authorities say they discovered an additional 2.5 pounds of high-grade marijuana, a glock handgun and $590 in cash.
Barber was transported to the Warren County Regional Jail. He faces charges of trafficking in marijuana over 5 pounds, trafficking in marijuana over 8 ounces to 5 pounds and possession of drug paraphernalia.
