Empty Bowls to host event to help end hunger
BOWLING GREEN, Ky – On Saturday, June 15, Empty Bowls of Bowling Green will host an event to help end hunger in the community.
The non-profit organization has donated hundreds of bowls from volunteers this year.
Registration is required to participate at the Warren County Public Library Bob Kirby Branch on event day. From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., attendees will handcraft two ceramic bowls, one to keep and the other to donate.
Materials cost five dollars excluding tax. The bowls will be bisque fired in a kiln, and crafters will glaze their bowls in the Idea Lab on their own. Glaze firing the ceramic bowls is the final step of the process.
Participants must be 8+ and children under 12 need an adult present with them.
Space is limited, register here.
