Scottsville Police Stuff the Cruiser with school supplies
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The Scottsville Police Department was out in the community today to help kids get school supplies.
Both of the School Resource Officers, officer Jackson and officer Johns, brought a police cruiser to Dollar General Market on Burnley Road.
They were collecting donations and school supplies for the upcoming year as the first day is fast approaching.
Officer Jackson is honored to serve the community and help out in the shopping process for back to school season.
“Anything that we can do to help our kids to succeed and and do better… anything to help them with their grades, to help them be able to do better in the classroom and succeed in life. Anything we can do to help with that is always great,” he says.
The Scottsville PD stuffs their cruiser every year, and they have a cash option where someone will shop for you if you’re not sure what to get.
