SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The Scottsville Police Department says it responded to a string of burglaries Friday that may be linked to a case in Glasgow, Kentucky.

Police say they received three different calls between 2 and 4 a.m. about criminal activity.

According to police, the first report was at 359 Old Gallatin Road in Scottsville, where unidentified subjects broke into a McDonalds and stole cash. Police say they also responded to 1520 Old Gallatin Road for an attempted ATM break-in at FirstBank, however, no money was stolen.

Scottsville police say they then responded to 1224 Old Gallatin, where subjects “unlawfully entered into Food Lion” but were unsuccessful in stealing cash.

Police say they believe the incidents in Scottsville are related and committed by the same subjects.

The Scottsville Police Department stated it believes a break-in at Houchens IGA in Glasgow is also related to the three burglaries.
