Scottsville man charged with drug trafficking after home search

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – An Allen County man is charged with drug trafficking following a house search.
According to a uniform citation, the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force served a search warrant Monday at a home on the 500 block of South East Third Street in Scottsville regarding reported drug trafficking.
Authorities say they made contact with 48-year-old Steven Mandrell of Scottsville.
Mandrell and another male subject were detained, and a search warrant was executed, authorities say.
Authorities say this led to the discovery of a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, along with suspected marijuana, a set of digital scales and a large amount of cash.
Mandrell was arrested and faces charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree (second or greater offense, greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, persistent felony offender I and tampering with physical evidence.
Mandrell remains at the Allen County Detention Center.
