Scottsville man charged with burglary after allegedly entering home with rifle

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville man is facing multiple charges, including burglary.
According to a uniform citation, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office responded just after 5:30 p.m. Monday to the 7200 block of Bowling Green Road in reference to 46-year-old Jonathan Miller of Scottsville being armed with a gun inside of a home.
The resident stated Miller entered the home through the back door with a rifle, according to deputies.
Authorities say the resident stated Miller asked where her husband was and stated he needed to speak to him.
According to the citation, the resident left the home and went to another residence to ask them to call 911.
Upon arrival, deputies say Miller was sitting in his pickup truck in the driveway of the residence.
Miller was detained immediately.
Deputies say Miller stated he had spoken to a male subject over the phone and that the male had told him to go to the residence. Upon speaking to the male subject, deputies say he stated he did not speak with Miller on this day and did not give him permission to go to his home.
Authorities say Miller admitted to using methamphetamine over the past few days.
Miller remains at the Allen County Detention Center on charges of second-degree burglary, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and public intoxication – controlled substance (excludes alcohol).
