Scottsville man assaulted woman, deputies say

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a report of a domestic assault at an Adolphus area home on Friday evening.

During the investigation, deputies located Jonathan Jernigan, of Scottsville, at a second residence.

Deputies say Jernigan assaulted the woman.

Jernigan was taken into custody and is charged with strangulation 2nd degree (domestic violence related) and assault, 4th degree (domestic violence) minor injury.

He is lodged at the Allen County Detention Center.
