SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville man is facing multiple drug charges.

According to a uniform citation by the Scottsville Police Department, detectives responded Thursday for reported illegal activity at a residence off of Wilkerson Road.

Police say they made contact with Walter Wilkerson, 53, of Scottsville, who gave written consent to search the home.

During the search, the uniform citation states probation and parole located methamphetamine and glass pipes. When asked about the substance, police say Wilkerson stated it was methamphetamine and that he had smoked that morning.

Police say Wilkerson then stated he had more and retrieved a black box, which contained a large amount of suspected methamphetamine and a set of digital scales.

Wilkerson stated it contained about 2 ounces of methamphetamine that he had bought in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Wilkerson was arrested and transported to the Warren County Detention Center. He faces charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), deliver or manufacture of drug paraphernalia and persistent felony offender.
