Scottsville man allegedly sends explicit messages, faces human trafficking charges

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville man is charged with promoting human trafficking after sending explicit messages.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says it was notified of explicit messages being sent to a female on Wednesday.
ACSO says the suspect, Michael Weaver, 40, of Scottsville, sent the explicit messages to the woman with the intent to commit forced sexual activity against a minor.
Deputies located Weaver and placed him into custody.
Weaver is charged with promoting human trafficking of a victim under the age of 18.
Weaver is lodged at the Allen County Detention Center.
