Scottsville man allegedly has multiple drugs, charged with drug trafficking

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop.
The Scottsville Police Department observed a vehicle with expired registration on Veterans Memorial Highway on Wednesday.
Brandon Cox, 36, of Scottsville, was identified as the driver.
Police say the vehicle had a smell of non-burned marijuana. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and officers located over 40 grams of marijuana, three containers of cocaine, hydrocodone pills, Adderall, 98 packages of THC, cannabis edibles, two scales, marijuana wax, three cell phones, a handgun, and over $1,000 in cash.
An open alcoholic container was also located.
Cox was taken into custody and lodged at the Allen County Detention Center.
Cox is charged with no registration plates, no registration receipt, rim or frame obscuring lettering or decal on plate, trafficking in marijuana (8 ounces to less than 5 pounds), first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (> or equal to 4 grams of cocaine), drug paraphernalia buy/possess, first-degree possession of a controlled substance hydrocodone, second-degree possession of amphetamine, and possession of an alcoholic beverage contained in a motor vehicle prohibited.
