Scottsville Main Street named one of top performing programs in Kentucky

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Downtown Scottsville is getting recognized for its success on a state level.

Governor Andy Beshear announced during his Team Kentucky update on Thursday that Scottsville’s Main Street program brought in more than $776,000 to Allen County.

In 2025, the community also welcomed four new businesses and 99 new jobs.

Scottsville joins Shelbyville and Paducah as one of three Main Streets recognized by the governor, who says these programs play a big role in Kentucky’s tourism boom.

“The Kentucky Main Street program builds on our new Kentucky Home Initiative by improving our communities, creating economic development opportunities, and attracting tourists. Having thriving downtown communities is a reason we’ve been able to celebrate back to back to back record years for tourism,” he says.

Beshear says this recognition is a big deal, especially for a small town like Scottsville, which has just over 4,600 residents.
