School districts prepare buses for safe transportation

GLASGOW, Ky. – When kindergarten through 12th grade students resume classes in the next few weeks here in Kentucky, bus drivers will be taking safety precautions for both students and staff.

Students riding a bus to and from school will be required to wear a mask while on board since it’s not going to be possible all the time to practice social distancing.

Additionally, buses will be heavily sanitized between drop off and pickup.

When boarding, students will fill from the back to front. When siblings or family members board, they will sit together.

District transportation officials also tell us that depending on how many students opt to learn from home, only every other seat on the bus may be used.
