Scarecrow trail returns to Lost River Cave
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Scarecrow Trail has returned to Lost River Cave with the same creativity as in past years.
The trail features a variety of scarecrows designed by local groups and businesses and is free to the public and open from dawn to dusk until Oct. 22. One of the scarecrows this year is designed by Haley Lee, a librarian at the Warren County Public Library in Smiths Grove.
Lee worked with others at the location to design a book-related scarecrow that looked good outside but may even encourage young readers to pick up some of the books.
“Printing those out and laminating them was probably the longest process and probably the longest part of the setup because we weren’t able to put them all together here at this library. We had to go out outside when we had it set up,” Lee said.
