Save the Depot campaign unveils August poster

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Historic Train and RailPark and Train Museum unveiled the eighth poster as part of the Save the Depot campaign.

The poster for the month of August, like the previous seven, continues the World War II theme.

However, the design for this poster was done with the intention of getting people in the community to buy tickets to the Depot’s upcoming event, the Bowling Green Canteen.

For three nights on Aug. 29, 30 and 31, the building’s lobby will be transformed into a 1940s nightclub.

The night will feature dinner, a Bob Hope-esque variety show and multiple musical performances, all of which are made to pay homage to the radio hits done during the war era.

Organizers of the event say it’ll be a fun night for guests and go a long way towards helping save the Depot.
