BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – While most of the season-opening action took place on Friday night, the Bowling Green Purples jumped out to a 1-0 start after taking down the Bullitt East Chargers 34-7 on Saturday evening at Western Kentucky University.
The Rafferty’s Bowl victory marked the first time since 2022 that the team was able to enter the win column on opening weekend, and they’ll hit the road eyeing a 2-0 start facing the St. Xavier Tigers on Friday, August 28 in Louisville.
