Saturday morning shooting injures Bowling Green man

Update: Case to be presented to grand jury

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1300 block of Barber Way early Saturday morning.

At 7:23 a.m. police received a report of shots fired in the neighborhood.

When police arrived they found one man who had been shot. That man was taken by medical helicopter to a Nashville trauma center, Bowling Green Police Officer Ronnie Ward said.

Saturday afternoon investigators were still sorting out the details the of the events leading up to the incident.

The injured man’s name and condition have not been released.

The person suspected of shooting the man has been talking to detectives about the incident but they have not been able to interview the man who was injured, Ward said.

As of Saturday afternoon no one has been charged in this incident.

Sunday afternoon Ward said no other details would be released in this incident pending presentation to an upcoming Warren County grand jury.
