Santa’s Secret Helpers for Seniors, giving senior citizens a memorable Christmas

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The Barren River Area Development District also known as BRADD is asking for the public’s help in making great holiday memories for local senior citizens.

Through an initiative called Santa’s Secret Helpers for Seniors, the public can bring in gifts to be dropped off at the BRADD office on Graham drive.

Up until December 14, anyone can bring in gifts like house slippers, hygiene items, and even household items like puzzles and blankets. From there, Santa’s helpers will deliver these items.

As of now, gifts have already started to come in. Deputy director Michelle Hines says this isn’t surprising, as the community is always willing to give to causes like this.

“I’m very thankful for the community. Without our community partners and the community to help support our programs for the elderly, we just could not do as much as we’re able to do without our community. We’re very thankful,” Hine said.
