Russellville man found guilty of attempted rape, incest charges

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A Russellville man has been found guilty on multiple charges, including attempted rape of a minor.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Gelin Omar Guevara, 58, of Russellville has been found guilty on charges of first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree attempted rape, victim under 12 years of age, first-degree sodomy, victim under 12 years of age and incest, victim under 12 years of age.

Since being found guilty, deputies say Guevara faces life in prison.

Deputies say he will go for a final sentencing this December.
