Russellville Independent Schools releases statement about heat in buildings

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – Russellville Independent Schools shared a statement Thursday regarding what it calls “misinformation” about heat not working in the district’s buildings.
The district stated that all of its buildings have heat at this time.
According to the district, one heating unit malfunctioned in the Russellville High School band room – however, this is being worked on by maintenance.
The district also stated cooler areas should be expected in larger buildings, particularly near doorways.
“It is important to remember that we may be providing a warmer environment that some situations our students live in at home,” superintendent Kyle Estes said. “We have and will continue to make arrangements in the few areas that do not provide adequate heat and relocate students as needed.”
