Room in the Inn seeking help finding new building for homeless families

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-A Bowling Green charity that helps the homeless is asking the public for help.

Room In the Inn currently occupies a space provided by State Street United Methodist Church at 416 E 11th Avenue.

Due to structural issues, the building can no longer be used and house homeless individuals and families.

Room In the Inn seeks to provide shelter for homeless families during winter, and they are looking for a new commercial space that can hold at least 50 people at a time. For that reason, they are looking for donations.

Program Director Sharli Rogers said she’s hopeful that the community will come through.

“The folks of Bowling Green have really gone all out for room In the Inn in the past, and we know that we can expect some good response from folks,” Rogers said.

The Room In the Inn Facebook page includes an option to donate.
