Rockfield man facing multiple charges after police said he nearly caused head-on collision

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Kentucky State Police arrested a Rockfield man Thursday night after a trooper said he saw the man’s vehicle cross the center line several times almost striking another vehicle head-on.
Jonathon Aaron Gaddis, 34, was asked to exit his vehicle after being pulled over on Richardsville Road. A trooper said he could smell a strong aroma of marijuana from the vehicle, according to his arrest citation.
When the trooper asked Gaddis if was in possession of any illegal substances, he handed two marijuana roaches to the officer, according to his citation. He told the trooper he had smoked marijuana about two hours prior.
The trooper placed Gaddis in his patrol car and found a half-empty bottle of Christian Brothers brandy in Gaddis’ vehicle, according to the release.
Gaddis was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs second offense, careless driving, possession of marijuana and traffic-related offenses.
