Robert Ramsey, SKYPAC board member, mourned by community

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The local community is mourning a cherished member of the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center.
Robert Ramsey, whose generosity helped launch the Ramsey Theatre Company, died peacefully at his home Sunday night, according to the company.
Ramsey served as a SKYPAC board member, long-time Orchestra Kentucky of Bowling Green subscriber and dedicated member of both the Encore Circle and Elm Street Society.
Ramsey Theatre Company says his legacy will soon be permanently honored with the Robert P. Ramsey Annex, currently under construction beside SKYPAC.
The company describes Ramsey as a “passionate Broadway theatre fan” who could be found in “his house-left box seats, enjoying nearly every SKYPAC production – and nothing brought him more pride than seeing Ramsey Theatre Company performances come to life.”
“We will deeply miss his presence, his unwavering support and his love for the arts in our community,” the Ramsey Theatre Company stated.
Funeral arrangements will be announced once available.
