Roads to close temporarily in Bowling Green for utility work

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green drivers should be prepared for a temporary road closure on a portion of U.S. 68X Adams and Kentucky Street.

Transportation officials have shared the following closure dates and times below, however, work is weather-dependent:

Tuesday, Dec. 17

• U.S. 68X Adams Street – The street will close on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 6 a.m. between 12th and 14th Avenue. The roadway will reopen with lane closures on Thursday, Dec. 19. Detour signs will be in place. Motorists should follow U.S. 68 Veterans Memorial.

Thursday, Dec. 19

• U.S. 68X Adams Street – The street will be open, but with one lane only between 12th and 14th Avenue beginning Thursday, Dec. 19. The lane closures will be in place for several days.

Monday, Dec. 30

• U.S. 68X Kentucky Street – The street will completely close between 13th and 11th Avenue Monday, Dec. 30 at 6 a.m. The road is expected to remain completely closed for about a week. Motorists should use 13th Avenue to Center Street to 11th Street as the detour. Detour signs will be in place.
