Road work continues in South Central Kentucky
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky Cabinet of Transportation is always working to keep the roadways functioning and this week is no different.
If you recall the storm that blew through the area on Tuesday, April 2nd, then you might remember the fall out after. It was minimal compared to what everyone was preparing for but it did destroy the approaches to the bridge on Oil Well Road in Barren County. News 40 spoke to the department about the good news, that the bridge has reopened.
Wes Watt, the Public Information Officer for District 3 of the cabinet also spoke about closing down KY-70 in Edmonson County.
The main route through Edmonson County, KY-70 cutting through Brownsville and crossing over Green River will undergo some cosmetic work starting on Monday. From April 29th till about a month out, the bridge will go down to one lane of operation during day time hours.
