UPDATE: One dead following rollover crash in Barren County

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – One person is dead following a fatal rollover crash in Barren County on Friday.

According to the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 11:37 a.m. Friday for a fatal crash in the 7000 block of Edmonton Road.

Deputies say a tractor-trailer was traveling east when it left the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then traveled through a ditch before overturning and stopping in a yard, the sheriff’s office says.

The driver of the vehicle, who was the only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Barren County Coroner’s Office.

Glasgow/Barren County Emergency Management says both lanes have opened back up on Edmonton Road in the area of the 7800 block (C Wilson Road).

Drivers are advised to use use caution in the area as crews clear the scene.

The incident remains under investigation. News 40 will provide an update as further details are released.
