Riverview Golf Course renovations in the works
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The city of Bowling Green’s first public driving range is almost ready for golfers to take some swings.
Bowling Green City Commissioners were in agreement last March that the city should build a driving range and renovate the Riverview Golf Course at Hobson Grove.
The price tag for both projects is around $725,000.
As of now, the construction is going well on both. The driving range is expected to be done by the end of this month, while the golf course should be finished by the end of October.
Tom Lawrence is a golfer, and also a Warren County magistrate. He said he’s looking forward to the new resources.
“I look forward to using the practice facility myself a lot. I’m not a member of a country club myself, but I’d sure like to practice my golf game a little bit more, Lawrence said.
When the course reopens, it will be shorter with brand new putting greens.
