Ribbon cutting for new mountain bike trail at Phil Moore Park

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new addition at Phil Moore Park is set to help the mountain biking community in Warren County.

The Hollow Riders trail is the second of its kind in the Warren County Parks and Recreation system.

This is a more open track that the Hollow Riders team can use to practice, while the Weldon Peete Park track is used more for races.

The director of the Hollow Riders says he hopes this is just the beginning of adding even more trails throughout the county and the region.

“It’s important that we have more trails in Warren County. There’s trails that are close by in Allen County and Barren County near Barren Lake… but it’s really important to have more trail opportunities here because people get off work, especially with our team. We practice at 5:30 or 6, so they need a place they can go and practice on their bike close by,” Scott Duvall says.

Warren County Parks and Rec Director Chris Kummer also says this is a great addition to the area at Phil Moore Park, and would love to add more trails to Warren County Parks as well.
