Retired Warren County K9 put down after battling health issues

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said goodbye on Wednesday to a K9 that worked for the law enforcement agency.
“Gunner” was put to sleep after suffering recently from heart and lung issues. According to Warren County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Kevin Wiles, the dog had stopped eating and drinking.
Law enforcement gave “Gunner” a proper send-off at All Creatures Animal Hospital on Wednesday morning in Bowling Green. More than 30 agents from local, state and federal agencies were on hand.
“Gunner” retired in 2017 and lived with his handler Captain Curtis Hargett.
The dog was 12 years old.
