Resurfacing project at downtown Glasgow square set to begin next week

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says an overnight resurfacing project in downtown Glasgow Square will impact traffic next week.
According to a release, KYTC is asking all residents to remove their vehicles from the downtown square by 6 pm each evening from Sunday, Aug. 30 through Friday, Sept. 4.
Crews will begin work on a project to resurface U.S. 31-X, including the entire square. KYTC says crews will work overnight from 7 pm to 6 am.
Officials say motorists should expect lane closures and delays during the project.
Parking will be available during daytime hours. All vehicles must be moved by 6 pm.
KYTC says the project is part of a larger project to resurface Race Street from the square to U.S. 31-E.
