UPDATE: Jumper still missing – Responders spend a second day searching for man who jumped from bridge
UPDATE: The BGFD, Warren Co EMA, Barren Co EMA and Gott, Richardsville & Browning VFD’s continued the search today for a man that didn’t resurface after jumping into Barren River late Friday afternoon. Operations have suspended for the day due to the weather moving in and it is unclear if and when operations will resume.
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – First responders from several agencies spent another day on the water searching for a man who jumped from the College Street pedestrian bridge Friday evening into Barren River.
He and another man had jumped once prior and after their second jump, one of them did not resurface, Bowling Green Fire Department spokeswoman Marlee Boenig said. The man swam to shore.
Rescuers have suspended operations for the day and will resume again Sunday morning.
