Reports: WKU Basketball to add early-season games
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With less than five weeks to go until the start of the college basketball season, Western Kentucky’s men’s team has reportedly scheduled some very intriguing early-season games.
According to Jared MacDonald of the Bowling Green Daily News, the Hilltoppers have signed agreements to play two games in Nebraska’s multi-team event and three games in Louisville’s bubble event next month.
The pair of games in Lincoln are scheduled to take place on November 25-26, with one of those being against the LSU Tigers.
As far as Louisville’s bubble event goes, WKU will reportedly play in three contests starting on November 28th and is expected to match-up against the Cardinals in one of those affairs.
Western Kentucky’s remaining opponents for Nebraska’s MTE and Louisville’s bubble event have yet to be determined.
So far, seven teams have committed to the event – Louisville, Winthrop, Duquesne, UNC Greensboro, Southern Illinois, Arkansas Little Rock and Prairie View A&M – which will be held at the KFC Yum! Center.
The Hilltoppers’ eighteen game Conference USA schedule will begin on December 31st.
