Rep. Shawn McPherson of Scottsville selected to help lead state committee

FRANKFORT, Ky. – One lawmaker with roots right here in south-central Kentucky has been selected to help lead a state committee.

Rep. Shawn McPherson of Scottsville is the new vice chair of the Kentucky House’s Budget Review Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Protection, Tourism and Energy.

Members make budget recommendations for economic development, public protection, tourism and energy policy and provide oversight on executive cabinet actions in programs related to these policy areas funded by the General Assembly.
